Hello, I have have a question about the DBCC SHRINKFILE.

I want to shrink the Logfile because it is 33 GB great (Database File size 6 MB) . In the SQL Management Studio I do the following:

right click on the Database I want to shrink --> select SHRINK --> FILE

In the Dialog I can choose LOG File to shrink and I can see that the LOG File has "Available free space 33089,67 MB (99%)" and "Currently allocated 33323,06 MB".

No one is connected to the database (Engine) except myself with SQL Management Studio.

I get the following Message: Cannot shrink the logfile 2 (ReuberBike_log) because the logical log file located the end of the file is in use!!.

I have one Database File (MDF) and I have one Logfile (LDF).

What can I do to shrink the logfile!!!!!!

Greetings from Germany
