Cannot open view in snapshot

I get the following error message when I try to open a view in a database Snapshot:

"Msg 927, Level 14, State 7, Procedure [view name], Line 11

Database '[database name]' cannot be opened.  It is in the middle of a restore."

The original database *is* "restoring...", which it always seems to be and, I can't do anything about.  Is there any way to open the view even though the original db is restoring?
