Credintials for service accounts reporting invalid.

Hi,

   I was running the installer of Sql Server 2008 R2 in a Windows Server 2008 R2 as a local administrator. While trying to assign domain accounts for the services , the installer gave an error as 'Invalid credentials for all accounts'. But when I ran the installer as domain administrator I could assign the same domain accounts for the services. How can I run the installer as local administrator and assign domain accounts for the services? Vice versa can I run the installer as domain administrator and assign local accounts for the services?
