Couple of quick questions on log shipping. Appreciate your help on this.
Question1) What is the use of monitor server in log shipping? It does not help in automatic failover as witness server does in Database mirroring?
Question2) In log shipping,if a log backup file is missing or corrupted then log shipping is broken and we cannot restore any further backups.
My question is, is there any workaround for this problem without have to setup log shipping from scratch i.e fresh full bkp and log bkp n restore WITH MNORECOVERY option?
