I am trying to setup log shipping on my test sql server 2008. I have two instances btw.
so when I right click on dbname -> tasks -> ship transaction logs -> enable this as primary database
under 'backup settings', it asks for either a network path or a local path where the transaction logs are to be held.
under C:\, I have created a directory called 'logshipping'.
if I enter anything in the network path, then the OK button which is greyed out, lights up.
but mine is a pc and I don't have a network. so when I try to enter the local path, the OK button is still greyed out.
I thought maybe it is a permission issue, so I have granted all users 'full control' to the directory.
still the OK is greyed out.
any idea what's happening?
