SQL Server / VB.Net data working fine in a 32 bit environment not persisting in a 64 bit environment

We have a VB.Net WinForms application developed and deployed in a 32 bit environment. It talks to SQL Server via the Enterprise Practices 5 resources. It's compiled using AnyCPU and the 3.5 framework. It works spendidly in the 32 bit environment. Recently we've installed it in a 64 bit Terminal Services environment to meet the requirements of a client. Data entered into screens is not consistently saving to the database. No errors are being thrown either in the app, database or Windows event logs. In most instances data will be saved after the 4th or 5th attempt.

Has this type of behavior been seen before, and if so how is it resolved? Any configuration issues I should check?
